My Story
I joined the Solar PV industry back in 2011 during the early growth period driven by government Feed in Tariffs, my focus was proposing, designing & installing systems primarily to residential clients. From this foundation I was fortunate to work in some amazing companies and develop my career, holding senior positions at Q cells & LONGi, two highly respected global manufacturers. These roles have taken me to many places from South Korea to the Arctic Circle, making many connections along the way, building friendships and playing a part in projects ranging from small domestic to large ground mounted sites.

Herd Energy was founded because my passion has always been to see Solar PV operational on commercial buildings, going directly to those with high consumption and providing an immediate impact to those whose industries are intrinsically linked to energy costs, money which could be far better directed into the operations of the business.
So much has changed in a relatively short time since I joined the industry nearly 15 years ago, particularly the perception of what Solar PV can achieve. Solar PV has always been capable of delivering these outcomes, but the adoption has entered a more mature era.

Less than 10% of commercial buildings in the UK have Solar, we have a lot of work to do.
